Audio signals

The printer gives status information via beeps. The length of the beep
indicates the response of the system to a key command.
• A short beep means that printer has accepted the key command and is
starting the operation.
• A long beep means that you have pressed a non-active key or that the
printer has rejected the key command.

Note: Certain conditions can cause an interval beep. An interval
beep accompanies an error or warning message.
