3.4 Connecting the DeviceNet transmission cable

This section describes how to connect a DeviceNet cable to DN912
Important
When connecting DeviceNet cable to the network connector, be cautious on incorrect wiring. Communication with
other nodes may not be possible due to a short circuit of the network power supply.
Do not connect or disconnect the DeviceNet cable during
network operation.
Reverse connection or short circuit of network power supply may
cause communication error.
Turn off the controller when connecting or disconnecting
the network connector to the device connector on the
DN912 front panel.
Failure to do so, may cause a malfunction or accident.
The connection of the network side connector to the device
side connector in front of the DN912 cannot be mounted in
the reverse direction because of the structure, so do not
force it.
It may cause damage.
Route cables so that they are not pulled or bent, and do not
place heavy objects on the cables.
It may cause disconnection.
The installation work of the DeviceNet cable shall be
carried out by a knowledgeable expert and sufficient safety
and noise counter-measures shall be taken.

method.
