Shooting with the Zoom

If you use the z z (Telephoto): T/ Z
z z
photo without having to change your distance from the subject. (Equivalent to a 35mm camera's 28-
85mm zoom for G4wide, or 35-105mm zoom for G4.)
By pressing the z z (Telephoto) button, the z z
subject you see in the LCD Monitor and the
Viewfinder becomes larger.
By pressing the Z Z (Wide-Angle) button, the
Z Z
field in the LCD Monitor and the Viewfinder
becomes wider.

To shoot with the zoom, follow the steps
below.
Turn the Mode Dial to 5
Compose your picture while viewing
either the LCD Monitor or the Viewfinder
and zoom by pressing either the z
ton, or the Z Z button. Z Z
A bar is displayed in the LCD Monitor indicating Zoom
status.
Press the shutter button.
