through the holes in the base to lift the unit. See
Figure 1-2 for lifting hole locations. In order to access
the lifting holes:
1. Raise the roof.
2. Lift off the exhaust end panel and the air intake end
panel.
No tools are required to remove the
enclosure panels.
3. Lift off the service side panel.
4. Insert lifting bars through the holes in the base to lift
the generator set.
After placing the generator set in its final location, use
the plastic plugs provided with the generator set to cover
the lifting holes that are not covered by the enclosure
panels.

1. Raise the roof and lift the air intake side and exhaust end panels up and off.
Then remove the service-side panel to expose lifting holes in the base.
2. Lifting holes (for lifting bars).
3. Insert plastic plugs after lifting.

1.3 Generator Set Inspection

Complete a thorough inspection of the generator set.
Check for the following:
1. Inspect the generator set for loose or damaged
parts or wires. Repair or tighten any loose parts
before installation.
2. Check the engine oil. Fill, if necessary, with the
recommended viscosity and grade of oil. Use
synthetic oil, API (American Petroleum Institute)
Service Class SG or higher. See the Operation
Manual for additional information.
