Device Information

The view the WT41N0 Bluetooth information:
Tap Start > Programs > MotoUI.

Tap My Device Information.

The Device Information window displays:

Device Name
HCI version number
LMP version number
Bluetooth chip manufacturer name
BT UI version number.
Tap the Back button to return to the MotoBTUI window.

FIPS Configuration

By default the WT41N0 has a FIPS key installed. If required, the user can generate a new FIPS
NOTE
key. If a new key is generated on the WT41N0, the same key is required to be used on the
other Bluetooth device. The user must transfer the key to the other device.
To generate a new FIPS key automatically:
Tap Start > Programs > MotoUI.

Tap FIPS Configuration.
2.
Tap Generate Key button.
3.
Tap the SetUp Key button. A new key is generated. The key file, NewAESKey.reg, is created in the

/Application folder.
Tap the Back button to return to the MotoBTUI window.

To generate a new FIPS key manually:
Tap Start > Programs > MotoUI.

Tap FIPS Configuration.

Tap Enter Key button.
3.
In the text box, enter a key.

Tap the SetUp Key button. A new key is generated. The key file, NewAESKey.reg, is created in the

/Application folder.
Tap the Back button to return to the MotoBTUI window.

To transfer the new FIPS key to another Bluetooth device:
Copy the NewAESKey.reg file from the WT41N0 to the other Bluetooth device. Place the file into the

Navigate to the /Application folder.
