2-2-3. Starting and Quitting of the Self
Diagnostic Mode
n
After replacing a NV-RAM, the self diagnostic mode
needs to be started up for writing the ID. For more details,
refer to Section 1-6, "Replacing the NV-RAMs".
Start
1. Turn off the power switch.
2. Remove the top panel. (Refer to Section 1-2-1.)
3. Set the switch S100-8 (J-3) on the CP-364 board to
ON.

4. Re-attach the top panel. (Refer to Section 1-2-1.)
5. Turn on the power switch.
6. Check to see that all LEDs light for only one second.
The test mode starts.

If there is an LED that does not light, see Section 2-3-
1, "Troubleshooting for the Power-on Sequence Error"
to clarify the cause.
7. Check to see that the 7SEG LEDs light as "99",
"88", "77", "66", "55", "44", "33", "22", "11"
and "00" at intervals of 500 msec.

If the 7SEG LED does not light as described above,
the subsequent test cannot be carried out.
See Setion 2-3-1, "Troubleshooting for the Power-on
Sequence Error" or Setion 2-3-7, "Troubleshotting for
LED Test Error" to clarify the cause.
8. Check to see that the 7SEG LEDs display "01".
(The numeric character indicates the test item number.)
Quit
1. Turn off the power switch.
2. Set the switch S100-8 (J-3) on the CP-364 board back
to OFF.

. To select the test item, select it using the [+]/[_] button
when the test item number is displayed on the 7SEG
LED.
. To execute the test item, press the "STORE" button
when the test item number is displayed.
. To display the test item number, press the "CANCEL"
button while executing all test items.
. All test items are executed repeatedly. To quit repeating
the tests, press the "CANCEL" button.

If the [+], [_], "STORE" and "CANCEL" buttons do not
operate as described above, see Section 2-3-2, "Trouble-
shooting for Test Selection Error" to clarify the cause.
