  • Page 7 The Activ8X Pipe is a rugged, portable, across-the-arc wire feeder • with CrossLinc. The Activ8X Pipe has been designed for use in eld welding cross-country pipelines ans process pipe. Tie-ins and pump stations are areas where fully automatic welding cannot be easily applied and semi-automatic wire welding is advantageous.

    Activ8X® Pipe™ OPERATION STEEL AND STAINLESS SYNERGIC GMAW-P (PULSED MIG) WELDING Synergic GMAW-P (Pulsed MIG) welding is ideal for low spatter, out of position and reduced heat input applications. During pulse welding, the welding current continuously switches from a low level to a high level and then back again. Each pulse sends a small droplet of molten metal from the wire to the weld puddle.
