Commissioning, inspection, maintenance
Checking the anode protective current with an anode tester
1. Remove cover and pull earth cable
See Fig. in chapter "Cleaning the DHW cylinder".
Checking the magnesium anode
We recommend replacing the magnesium anode once
it has been reduced to a diameter of 10 to 15 mm.
Replacing the magnesium anode
Note
If the magnesium anode needs to be replaced, a main-
tenance-free impressed current anode (accessories)
can be used.
Magnesium anode removal: See Fig. in chapter
"Cleaning the DHW cylinder"
Checking the firm seating of electrical connections
Closing the heat pump
See page 36.
Switching the power on
Switch on the mains power at the main MCB/fuse.
Commissioning the system
Commissioning (configuration, parameter settings and
function check) can be carried out with or without the
commissioning wizard (see following chapter and serv-
ice instructions for the heat pump control unit).

2. Connect the tester (measuring range up to 5 mA)

Please note
A short circuit between the magnesium anode
and the internal indirect coil negates the protec-
tive effect of the magnesium anode. This leads
to corrosion damage on the DHW cylinder.
Before connecting the electrical cables, check
the resistance across terminals
Fig. in chapter "Cleaning the DHW cylinder"). If
the resistance is significantly less than infinity,
check whether the magnesium anode is touch-
ing the internal indirect coil.
Note
The type and extent of the parameters depend on the
appliance type, on the selected system scheme and
the accessories employed.
