Performance Monitoring
PURPOSE
This procedure provides instructions for monitoring performance of the 1677 SONET Link.
GENERAL
Individual performance monitoring (PM) registers are used to store performance information that
can be retrieved under command. This data is stored on 15-minute increments for up to eight hours
(or 32 consecutive 15-minute periods), and daily for the current and previous 24-hour period.
Performance information can be retrieved on demand, or through scheduled PM reports.
For information on TL1 command syntax, refer to the 1677 SONET Link Commands and Messages
manual (PN 3EM13852AF).
