7.4 Error display
Description
The LK LED indicates the following status:
LED
LK1/LK2
There is no Ethernet connection between the PROFINET IO inter‐
face of your PROFINET device and a communication partner (e.g. IO
Off
controller).
There is an Ethernet connection between the PROFINET IO inter‐
face of your PROFINET device and a communication partner (e.g. IO
On
controller).
The "Node flash test" is run (the RN/ER/MTLEDs also flash).

Useful information on error indicators
The LED error display provides information on the cause of the error.
The LED error display
• takes precedence over all other states that are displayed by the ERROR and MAINT LEDs.
• remains switched on until the cause of the error is eliminated

Displaying unsupported bus adapters
The LEDs RN (flashing), ER (flashing) and MAINT (off) on the interface module indicate that an
unsupported bus adapter is connected.

Definition
After notification by the flash signal, the error type is displayed followed by the error location/
error code.
