1. Application range

The hedge trimmer should only be used for
trimming hedges, bushes and shrubs. Other
use of the trimmer, not included in this manual,
could damage the trimmer or seriously injure the
operator and is therefore expressively excluded
from the application range.

2. For your safety

Caution!
This machine can cause serious
injuries! Read the manual carefully
and follow the instructions to use,
move, maintain, start and stop
the machine. Familiarize yourself
with the controls, switches and
how to use the machine correctly.
Make sure how to stop it in case
of emergency. Improper use of
the machine can cause serious
injuries. Keep these instructions
in a safe place and ready to be
consulted when required. If the
supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by a special cord
or assembly available from the
manufacturer or its service agent.
-Switch off the machine and disconnect the plug
from the power supply when the machine is left
unattended, maintenance is being carried out,
for cleaning, blade oiling or when the blades
are blocked or any object to be removed form
the blade.
-Make sure that the protection guard is always
mounted to the machine when using the hedge
trimmer. Never remove any of its components and

never use a damaged or incomplete machine and
never modify any of the machine components or
tamper with the original trimmer arrangement in
any way.
-The use of a circuit breaker is required for
machines for outdoor use. The machine has to be
connected to socket outlets with earth contact.
-Only use splash proof extension cord approved
for outdoor use and marked accordingly.
-Make a loop in the extension cord and hang into
the cable holder as shown in (6).
-Before using the hedge trimmer, check the
machine, extension cord and plug. If any
components are worn or damaged, have them
checked, repaired or replaced by an authorized
service center.
-Remove the plug immediately, if the cable or
extension cord has been damaged or cut.
-Keep electrical cables away from the working
area and make sure to have the cable always
behind your back.
-Always wear suitable clothing, anti-slip shoes
and close-fitting garments, which cannot get
caught, however, do not restrict movement. Tie
long-hair back or protect with a hair net. Do not
wear bracelets or long jewelry, which could get
entangled in moving parts.
-Always wear safety goggles or a face guard,
protective gloves and, if the noise exceeds
85dB(A), also wear ear guards.
-Do not use the machine when it is raining or on
wet hedges.
