ARP Inspection

Security > ARP Inspection
This section allows you to create ARP inspection policies for security purposes. The ARP
inspection can be set to permit or deny the host based VLAN & port assignment. When
ARP inspection is enabled on a specific VLAN or port, the ARP entry must be defined
specifically within the ARP inspection static entry table.
1. Log into your switch management page (see
on page 11).
2. Click on Security, ARP Inspection, and click on Basic Settings.
3. Review the settings below.

Global State: Selecting Enabled enables the ARP inspection feature on the
switch.

ARP Inspection VLAN Settings – This will allow you to apply ARP inspection
settings to a specific VLAN ID. Click Add to add the VLAN to the ARP inspection
table.

VLAN ID – Enter the VLAN ID to apply ARP Inspection.

Log Type – The log type will define which types of audits to include in
the switch system log, permitted ARP entries, denied ARP entries, both
permitted & denied (All), or no log entries (None).

"Access your switch management page"
Click on Security, ARP Inspection, and click on Port Settings.
Review the settings below and click Apply when configuration is completed.

State: Enables ARP inspection on a specific port.

Log Type - The log type will define which types of audits to include in the switch
system log, permitted ARP entries, denied ARP entries, both permitted & denied
(All), or no log entries (None).

Follow VLAN Log Type: This will follow the VLAN Log Type defined under Security
> ARP Inspection > Basic Settings section depending on port VLAN membership
and if it has been defined in the table. If no VLAN is match, there will be no
logged.
Click on Security, ARP Inspection, and click on Static Entry Table.
This section will allow you manually entry static ARP entries.
Enter the VLAN ID, IP address, MAC address and port and click Add to add the static ARP
entry to the list.
You can also check the Dynamic Entry Table, and add all dynamic entries discovered to
the Static Entry Table list.
