Turns are commanded in the same direction as Selected Heading Bug movement,
even if the bug is turned more than 180˚ from the present heading (e.g., a 270˚ turn
to the right). However, Selected Heading changes of more than 330˚ at a time result
in turn reversals.
3.2.5.3.3 T
Track Mode is activated by pressing TRK Key on the GMC 507 or the TRK
Button/Softkey on the G3X Touch/G3X. Track Mode acquires and maintains the
Selected Ground Track. The Selected Ground Track is displayed as a magenta bug on
the HSI and in the box on the bottom right of the HSI.
Changing the selected ground track:
1) Press the Selection Knob to display the Menu.
2) Select Track and use the Selection Knob to change the Selected Ground
Track.
Or
Rotate the HDG Knob on the GMC 307 or HDG/TRK Knob on the GMC
507.
Activating track mode:
Press the TRK Key on the GMC 507 or the TRK Button/Softkey on the G3X
Touch/G3X.
Holding the CWS Button (if configured) and hand-flying the aircraft does not change
the Selected Ground Track. The autopilot guides the aircraft back to the Selected
Ground Track upon release of the CWS Button.
