Recycled Antifreeze
Antifreeze or coolant recycled by
reverse osmosis, distillation, and ion
exchange, properly re-inhibited to meet
TMC RP-329 Type A or RP-330 Type A
requirements has been demonstrated
to provide service equivalent to virgin
antifreeze. Recycled antifreeze or
coolants of these types are preferred.
Other recycled coolants, especially
coolants recycled through filtration pro-
cesses, are not recommended.

Inhibitor
Ethylene glycol and propylene glycol are
also available with a Nitrited Organic
Acid Technology (NOAT) corrosion
inhibitor package. These coolants
require less maintenance over the useful
life of the engine. NOAT coolants, main-
tained as detailed in the Maintenance
section, may be operated up to 4 years,
600,000 miles, (960,000 km), or 10,000
operating hours, whichever comes first.
The cooling system should either be
equipped with a "blank" coolant filter or
the coolant filter and piping may be
omitted from the system.
