Maintenance
DDC is not responsible for the cost of
maintenance or repairs due to lack of
performance of required maintenance
services as recommended by DDC, or
the failure to use fuel, oil, lubricants,
cooling air and ventilation meeting DDC-
recommended
specifications.
Performance of the required mainte-
nance and use of proper fuel, oil, lubri-
cants, cooling air and ventilation are the
responsibility of the owner. Refer to the
"Lubrication
and
Maintenance Intervals" section of this
Operator's Guide for details.
Incidental or Consequential
Damages
This warranty does not cover any eco-
nomic loss, including without limitation
communication expenses, meals, lodg-
ing, loss of use of the Engine, loss of
time, inconvenience, overtime, trans-
portation of the Engine or any other cost
or expense resulting from a defect cov-
ered by this warranty.
Other Limitations
THIS WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WAR-
RANTY APPLICABLE TO THE ENGINE
AS USED IN PRIME POWER GENERA-
TORS. DETROIT DIESEL CORPORA-
TION MAKES NO OTHER WAR-
RANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY
OF
MERCHANTABILITY
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PUR-
POSE. DETROIT DIESEL CORPORA-
TION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY
Preventive
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
Some states do not allow the limitation of
how long this warranty may last for the
limitation or exclusion of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above
may not apply to you. This warranty gives
you specific legal rights, and you may
also have other rights which may vary
from state to state.
