General information
BMW ConnectedDrive Services offer the option
to display information regarding the weather or
sports, for example, on the Control Display using
apps and other functions.
Functional requirement
The following conditions must be met to display
personal data such as e-mails:
▷ Vehicle is linked with the ConnectedDrive ac‐
count.
▷ The corresponding driver profile is selected.

Concierge Service

Principle
The Concierge Service is an information service
by phone.
General information
The Concierge service offers information on
events, filling stations or hotels, and provides
phone numbers and addresses. A voice connec‐
tion to the Concierge service is established for
this purpose. Many hotels can be booked directly
by the BMW Concierge service. The Concierge
service is part of the optional BMW Response
Center Plan.

A voice connection to the Concierge service is
established.

Remote Services

Principle
Remote Services enable some vehicle functions
to be controlled remotely via the BMW app.
General information
The use of the Remote Services requires an ac‐
tive ConnectedDrive contract.
The vehicle is controlled via the BMW app. The
BMW app is available for iOS from the Apple App
Store and for Android from the Google Play
Store.
A one-time activation of the Remote Services in
the BMW app or in the BMW ConnectedDrive
customer portal is required before they can be
used.
The app can be used to lock and unlock the ve‐
hicle, for instance. Other functions may be availa‐
ble, depending on the vehicle.
Alternatively, remote control of certain functions
can also be requested via the BMW Connected‐
Drive Call Center.

Principle
CarPlay allows certain functions of a compatible
Apple iPhone to be used via Siri voice control
and iDrive.
