3. Hold the magnet next to the arrow on the end of the sensor and
then pull the magnet away from the sensor.
4. Listen for siren beeps to determine appropriate response (refer
to your panel/receiver documentation).
5. Exit the sensor test mode.
Mounting
To mount the sensor, do the following:
1. Mount the sensor base with two #6 x 1.00 in. PPH screws
(included) at the T mounting hole location (
hole location ( B ) in Figure
a. Start both the T and L screws and turn down about
halfway.
b. Level and tighten the L screw first.
c. Tighten the T screw last (do not overtighten the T screw).
2. Remove the magnet from its base.
3. Line up the arrow on the magnet with the small notch on the
side of the sensor, depending on the internal reed switch being
used (Figure ).

4. Remove unused reed switches. Clip the leads as close to the
board as possible.
5. Mount the magnet base with the #6 x 0.625 in. PPH screws
(included) no more than 0.4 in. (1 cm) away from the sensor
base ( A in Figure 4
6. Attach the sensor cover to the sensor base.
7. In order to install your wireless system according to EN50131-1,
secure the sensor cover using the screw (#4 x 0.250 in. PPH
screw provided) in the cover screw hole (
Sensor test
The sensor test verifies good communication between the sensor
and the panel/receiver.
To test the sensor, do the following:
1. Put the panel/receiver into sensor test mode (refer to your
panel/receiver documentation).
2. Open the door/window the sensor is protecting. The sensor
transmits a signal.
3. Listen for siren beeps to determine the appropriate response
(refer to your panel/receiver documentation).
4. Exit sensor test mode.
External contact wiring
Use the following specifications for the external contact:
• Maximum wire length: 26 ft. (8 m).
• Wire: Stranded, 22-gauge (0.7112 mm).
• Switches: Hermetically sealed external switches (sealed reed
switch) that supply a minimum 250 milliseconds open or close
on alarm.
Note: Do not connect more than five external contacts to a door/
window sensor.
You can wire the terminal blocks on the sensor (
leads from an external contact. Contact includes both alarm and
tamper indication. The external contact is wired with two 4.7 Kohm
end-of-line (EOL) resistors; one in series with, and one across the
external contact ( B in Figure
the external detection device for proper supervision. This gives the
following readings for a normally closed configuration:
Open/short = Tamper
1 R (4700 ohms) = All devices closed (normal)
2 R (9400 ohms) = Alarm (EOL resistor + parallel resistor)
Battery replacement
When the system indicates the sensor battery is low, replace it imme-
diately. Use the recommended replacement batteries (see
tions) or contact technical support for more information. Dispose of
used batteries according to battery directive instructions and/or
instructions from local government authorities.
To replace the batteries, do the following:
1. Remove the sensor cover.
2. Remove the battery and dispose as required by local laws.
3. Insert the replacement battery, observing correct polarity.
4. Do a sensor test to resynchronize the sensor with the panel. See
Sensor test.

Einführung
Dies sind die Installationsanweisungen für den GE SlimLine Tür-/
Fensterkontakt 868 GEN2 für die Modelle TX-1011-03-1, TX-1011-03-3,
RF1011-03-1 und RF1011-03-3. Sie können den Melder an Türen,
Fenstern und vielen anderen Objekten anbringen, die sich öffnen und
schließen lassen. Der Melder übermittelt Signale an die Zentrale, wenn
ein in der Nähe des Melders montierter Magnet vom Melder weg oder
näher zum Melder hin bewegt wird.
Verschlüsselte Signale tragen zur Sicherheit der Funkkommunikation
bei. Der Melder ist zusätzlich mit einem Sabotagekontakt als Abreiß- ,
Deckelkontakt ausgerüstet.
Montageanweisungen
Befolgen Sie bei der Montage folgende Richtlinien:
• Montieren Sie den Melder auf dem Türrahmen und den
Magneten auf der Tür. Wenn der Melder für Doppeltüren
verwendet werden soll, montieren Sie den Melder auf der
seltener bewegten Tür und den Magneten auf der häufiger
verwendeten Tür.
• Der Melder sollte nach Möglichkeit im Umkreis von 30 m (100')
von der Zentrale platziert werden. Ein Sender kann im Freien
eine Übertragungsreichweite von 150 m (500') und mehr
erreichen, die Umgebung am Installationsort kann die
Übertragungsreichweite jedoch erheblich beeinträchtigen.

• Die Melder dürfen nicht an einer Stelle angebracht werden, an

Betriebstemperatur (0 bis 49°C bzw. 0 bis 120°F) überschritten
wird.
• Verschrauben Sie die Komponenten nach Möglichkeit direkt mit
dem Untergrund. Geht dieses nicht, verwenden Sie Plastikdübel.
• Entfernen Sie die nicht verwendeten internen Reedkontakte

Benötigtes Material
Sie benötigen folgende Werkzeuge und folgendes Material:
• Zwei 3,5 x 25 mm-Kreuzschlitz-Flachkopfschrauben sowie zwei
Kunststoffdübel zum Montieren des Melders (beiliegend)
• Zwei 3,5 x 15 mm-Kreuzschlitz-Flachkopfschrauben zur
Befestigung des Magneten (beiliegend)
• Eine 2,5 x 6 mm-Kreuzschlitz-Flachkopfschraube zum
Befestigen der Melderabdeckung an der Meldergrundplatte
(beiliegend)
• Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher.
Programmierung
Im Folgenden finden Sie allgemeine Richtlinien zum Programmieren
