Additional information about Command WorkStation features is provided.
The information in the Command WorkStation chapter supplements the Command WorkStation Help.
Tray alignment from the printer control panel
You can perform tray alignment from the printer control panel as well as Command WorkStation.
Make sure that the tray you are choosing to align contains an appropriate amount of paper before you start the
process. If the tray is out of paper, an error message appears.
If you choose Tray Alignment from the printer control panel, you must press Print or Cancel to proceed. For example,
if you decide not to use Tray Alignment and then press another portion of the interface, such as Calibrate, nothing
happens.
1 On the printer control panel, press the Main Menu button.
2 If the Fiery logo is not displayed, press Show All.
3 Press Fiery.
4 Press Tools.
5 Press Tray Alignment.
6 Press Print or, if desired, Cancel.
If you do not, nothing happens when you press other portions of the interface.
Canceling a job
You can cancel a job when the printer runs out of paper.
When the printer is out of paper, and no job is printing, you can cancel jobs in Command WorkStation by right-
clicking to select Cancel, but you cannot cancel jobs by pressing the Cancel button on the progress indicator bar.
When jobs start printing and the printer runs out of paper, jobs can be cancelled in either way.
Mixed Media
The Mixed Media feature allows you to define the chapter divisions of a job, print ranges of pages on varying types of
media, and insert blank media between pages.
If tab printing is supported, you can insert tab media containing text labels.
The following guidelines and restrictions apply to Mixed Media settings:

The Mixed Media dialog box restricts you from specifying settings that conflict with any media, page size, or
finishing settings that have been specified for the job in the Job Properties dialog box or printer driver.

When two or more Mixed Media settings are in conflict with each other, the Mixed Media dialog box highlights
the setting names in red, signaling you to resolve the conflict.
