Connecting the assembly cable
If using a multi system, install as described in the installation manual supplied with the outdoor unit.

• C onnect the power cable to the auxiliary circuit breaker. If every pole fails to connect to the
power supply, it must be incorporated in a wire with a contact opening of ≥3 mm.
• U se shield cable (Category 5; less than 50pF/m) for noisy environmental site.
• P ower supply cords of parts of appliances for outdoor use shall not be lighter than
polychloroprene sheathed fl exible cord. (Code designation IEC: 60245 IEC 66/CENELEC: H07RN-F,
IEC: 60245 IEC 57/CENELEC: H05RN-F)

(1) For electrical and earth works, comply with the 'technical standards of electrical installations' and the the 'wiring
regulations' of the Local wiring regulations.
(2)
T ighten the terminal block screw to 1.2 ~1.8 N•m (12 ~18 kgf•cm).
(3) P recautions when connecting terminal blocks of the indoor unit
Before connecting, make sure the connecting part of the terminal socket is facing upwards.
There must be no space between the terminal and the screw when connected.
- Any remaining space may become a fi re hazard due to overheating of the electrical contact.
• F or the terminal block wiring, use a wire with a ring terminal socket only.
Regular wires without a ring terminal socket may become a fi re hazard due to overheating of the electrical
contact during a wiring work.
When you install the unit, make fi rst refrigerant connections and then electrical connections.
Connect the air conditioner to grounding system before performing the electrical connection.
If unit is uninstalled, fi rst disconnect electrical cables, then refrigerant connections.
If the outdoor unit is more than 4.5 or 5.5 meters away from the indoor unit, you must extend the cable. The maximum length
of the cable is 15(07/09/12)/30(18/24) meters.
1. Extend the assembly cable if necessary.
• D o not connect two or more diff erent cables to extend the length. It may cause fi re.
