Connection to a Subwoofer

The DHT-FS5's subwoofer pre-out crossover frequency is 150 Hz. We recommend using a subwoofer with
a crossover frequency of 150 Hz.

• An even stronger low bass effect can be achieved by connecting a commercially available subwoofer with
built-in amplifier to the DHT-FS5.
• Connect the subwoofer with built-in amplifier to the subwoofer output terminals using a pin-plug cable.
NOTE
The DHT-FS5 detects the subwoofer pre-out connection and adjusts the playback sound accordingly. When
not using a subwoofer, do not connect the subwoofer pre-out terminals.

Connecting the Power Cord

NOTE
Insert the plugs securely. Incomplete connections will result in the generation of noise.
