2.11.Precautions for adjacent installation
Thermal influence
When you install two displays vertically, the temperature rise at the
top of the display due to the heat moved from the bottom of the
display.
It is often hard to secure space in video wall installation, however,
secure the temperature condition by the following countermeasures.
1) Lower the room temperature (e.g. by an air-conditioner)
2) Lower the brightness of display
(Power consumption and heat will be suppressed.)
3) Secure a plenty of space at the front/back of the displays
4) Provide ventilation between displays
It is effective to use the spot cooler or fan in the back.
(Note: Dust can be easily attached to displays by wind.)
Thermal Expansion
・Secure enough space, considering thermal expansion.
・The minimum space can be calculated as follows:
- Space for long- length
= (Maximum surrounding temperature in operation - surrounding temperature when installed+20) x 0.018 (mm) or more
- Space for short- length
= (Maximum surrounding temperature in operation - surrounding temperature when installed + 20) x 0.010 (mm) or more
e.g. The environmental temperature is 20 ℃ in installation, and its maximum peripheral temperature goes up to 40 ℃, space
required for long- length is 0.72mm or more and for short- length is 0.4 mm or more. (recommend more than 1mm)
Note: If the space between displays is small, the weight is loaded to LCD panel by heat expansion.
It may cause a white spot, unclear display images, or failures.

Hiding the gap between the bezels
If the gap between displays spoils the appearance (e.g. the back of
the display can been seen through), hide it by attaching black tape
at the rear.
・Do not cover the heat dispassion holes.
・Attach the tape before connecting cables.
・Check the tape occasionally to make sure that the tape aren't
detached from the displays.
