Disposing of the Used Ink Cartridge

Do not shake the used ink cartridge, the ink will leak. Before
discarding the empty ink cartridge, place it in a leak-proof bag.
Replacing the Ink Cartridges
(Routine Maintenance)
Your MFC is equipped with an ink dot counter that automatically
monitors the ink level in each cartridge. When the counter detects
an ink cartridge is running out of ink, the MFC will notify you by
lighting the "Ink Empty" LED.

Caution
Continuing to use the MFC when the display shows
INK EMPTY may cause permanent damage to your MFC.
The display shows you which cartridges are low or empty. Be sure
to follow the display prompts so you replace the cartridges
correctly.
