6.2 Connecting signal and supply cables
Wiring of the Ex BaseUnit
When laying the cables and wiring, adhere to the installation and setup regulations according
to DIN EN IEC 60079‑14 as well as the country-specific regulations.
Ensure intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe cables are completely separate during wiring.
They must be routed in separate cable ducts and must maintain a minimum distance of 50 mm
from "non-intrinsically safe cables".
The shield connection is separated from the intrinsically safe circuits and is connected to the
local equipotential bonding system.
Only Ex I/O modules of the ET 200SP HA and ET 200SP series may be connected to the Ex power
module. Observe the maximum permissible output current of the Ex power module.
Power supply
Read the technical specifications and information on supply voltage in section "Rules and
regulations for operation (Page 35)".
Connection for power supply (slot X80)
The module provides a connection plug on the front side for supplying the external SELV/PELV
supply voltage.
The contacts on the connection plug are intended for the following connections:
Slot Connection plug
The maximum cross-section of the connection is 1.5 mm
The wiring diagram is lasered onto the front panel of the Ex power module.
