Clean the upper precision rollers
The lid upper precision rollers are arranged in two rows each side of the
glass plate and keep the document moving in a straight line. These
rollers are in direct contact with the color side of documents and may
become quite dirty.
•
Spray/apply a mild, streak-free, glass cleaner onto a lint-free cloth
•
Gently wipe the surface of the rollers
•
Use the cloth to turn the rollers so you wipe all sides
•
Dry the rollers completely using another clean, dry lint-free cloth
•
Make sure that you leave the area dry
CAUTION: Do not spray/apply cleaner fluids directly onto the rollers
or anywhere else in the scan area.

Clean the white pressure rollers
The long white rollers between the transport rollers in the base of the
scanner keep the document flat as it goes through the scanner.
•
Spray/apply a mild, streak-free, glass cleaner onto a lint-free cloth
•
Gently wipe the surface of each white roller
•
Use the cloth to turn the rollers so you wipe all sides
•
Dry the rollers completely using another clean, dry lint-free cloth
•
Make sure that you leave the area dry

or anywhere else in the scan area.
