Cleansing Seat Troubleshooting
Symptoms
1. Cleansing wand fails to
fully retract.
2. The cleansing wand does
not fully extend, and
while activated emits a
grinding noise.
The bowl light, located in

4. Cleansing wand partially
retracts, hesitates, then
fully retracts.
5. Cleansing wand moves
erratically or stops.
6. Dryer air is too hot.
7. Dryer does not start
immediately.
8. Cleansing wand fails to
extend, cleansing features
cannot be activated.

Probable Causes
A. Cleaning cycle of cleansing was
interrupted.
B. The cleansing wand spray tip is
not installed correctly.
A. The seal protecting against
waterflow into the cleansing
seat is dry.
A. The light is not enabled.
A. This is proper operation. When
the cleansing wand hesitates it
is being rinsed off, then it fully
retracts.
A. The cleansing wand cycle was
interrupted.
A. Temperature is set too high.
A. The wand has not completed
retracting after the cleansing
wash cycle has been completed.
A. The user is a small child.

Recommended Action
A. Retract the cleansing wand using
the remote control by selecting;
[settings] > [cleaning] > [manual
clean] > [extend wand] > [close].
B1. Reinstall the cleansing wand spray
tip following the servicing
instructions in this document.
B2. Call the Customer Care Center
using the information provided on
the back page of this manual.
A1. Extend the wand using the remote
control by selecting; [settings] >
[cleaning] > [manual clean] >
[extend wand]. Clean the cleansing
wand using a liberal application of
liquid soap. After rinsing the wand,
apply more liquid soap for
lubrication and select [close] on the
remote control.
A1. Enable the light using the remote
control by selecting; [settings] >
[feature settings] > [lighting] >
[bowl light] > [home]. Increase the
brightness by selecting [settings] >
[feature settings] > [lighting] and
adjusting the bowl light scroll bar
up.
A2. Call the Customer Care Center
using the information provided on
the back page of this manual.
A. No action needed.
A1. Turn the power to the toilet off
using the power button on the back
of the toilet, wait 10 seconds, turn
the power back on.
A2. Call the Customer Care Center
using the information provided on
the back page of this manual.
A1. Lower the dryer air temperature
using the remote control by
selecting; [dryer] > and moving the
[temp.] scroll bar lower.
A2. Call the Customer Care Center
using the information provided on

A. There is a brief delay while the
wand fully retracts, then extends
again for the dryer cycle.
A. The cleansing features require a
sensor under the seat to be
activated. Children less than 48'
(1219 mm) tall may not activate this
sensor. Flush the toilet using the
remote control.
