RDR8S and I32O16 Modules

ETUP AND DJUSTMENTS
The RDR8S and I32O16 switches used for setup are accessible without opening of the
module's plastic enclosure.
Wiegand Interface (RDR8S Only)
Wiegand Data0 and Data1 interfaces are enabled for the Wiegand reader interface.
RS485 Connection
Baud Rates
The RDR8S and I32O16 modules support autobaud operation between 9600 and
19200 bps and does not require any switch settings.
RS-485 Isolation and Protection
Isolation and protection is provided by the following components:
Three optical isolators (optocouplers)

Two self-resetting switch thermistors

Two transient voltage suppressors (TVSs)


Address Switches

The following figure shows the location of the adjustable 5-position address switch.
The address switch is used to set the S300 bus address.

OTE
Before changing the position of the address switches, remove the
12/24 VDC supply power to the RDR8S/I32O16 and wait for the power
LED to go off. Changes will not take effect until after the power is restored.
