System Boot Up Sequence
This option sets the sequence of boot drives (either floppy drive A: or
hard disk drive C:) that the AMIBIOS attempts to boot from after AMIBIOS
POST completes. The settings are C:,A: or A:,C:. The Optimal default
setting is C:,A:. The Fail-Safe default setting is A:,C:.
System Boot Up CPU Speed
This option sets the speed of the CPU at system boot time. The settings
are High or Low. The Optimal default setting is High. The Fail-Safe
default setting is Low.
External Cache
This option enables secondary cache memory. If Disabled is chosen, all
secondary cache memory is disabled. The settings are Disabled or
Enabled. The Optimal default setting is Enabled. The Fail-Safe default
setting is Disabled.
Internal Cache
This option enables internal cache memory on the CPU. If Disabled is
chosen, the internal cache memory on the CPU is disabled. The settings
are Disabled or Enabled. The Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings are
Disabled.
Password Checking
This option enables the password check option every time the system
boots or the end user runs Setup. If Always is chosen, a user password
prompt appears every time the computer is turned on. If Setup is chosen,
the password prompt appears if WinBIOS is executed. See page 101 for
instructions on changing a password. The Optimal and Power-On defaults
are Setup.
