Section 1 Standard Setup

Choose Standard CMOS Setup from the AMIBIOS Setup main menu. All
Standard Setup options are described in this section.
Date/Time Select Standard CMO Setup form the AMIBIOS Setup main menu. Highlight
Date or Time using the arrow keys. Enter new values through the keyboard.
Press the <Tab> key or the arrow keys to move between fields. The date must
be entered in MM/DD/YY format. The time is entered in HH:MM:SS format.
Press <PgUp> or <PgDn> after you have selected an option to display the
complete list of valid settings on the right side of the screen under Available
Options.
Floppy Drive A: and B: Move the cursor to these fields via
type. The settings are 360 KB 5¼ inch, 1.2 MB 5¼ inch, 720 KB 3½ inch,
1.44 MB 3½ inch, or 2.88 MB 3½ inch.
Boot Sector Virus Protection This option is near the bottom of the Standard Setup screen.
Choose Enabled to enable boot sector protection. AMIBIOS displays a
warning when any program (or virus) issues a Disk Format command or
attempts to write to the boot sector of the hard disk drive. The settings are
Enabled or Disabled. If enabled, the following appears when a write is
attempted to the boot sector. You may have to type N several times to prevent
the boot sector write.

The following appears after any attempt to format any cylinder, head, or
sector of any hard disk drive via the BIOS INT 13 Hard Disk Drive Service:
Format!!!
