Step 7 Attach Cables,
Mouse Cable Attach the cabled form the PS/2 mouse to the five-pin PS/2 mouse connector
on the motherboard (labeled PS2_MS), as shown below. The keyboard PS/2
mouse connector pinout is:
CPU Fan A three-pin berg labeled FAN1 attaches to the CPU fan. The FAN1 connector
is near the end of the CPU module socket.
Chassis Fan A three-pin berg labeled FAN2 attaches to the chassis cooling fan. The FAN2
connector is near the block connector.
IR Infrared The 10-pin (2 by 5) infrared connector (IR) near the edge of the motherboard
and the AGP socket attaches to an infrared port mounted on the computer
chassis. It allows data transmission to any other device that supports the IrDA
standards for infrared transmission.
