Set up, install, and configure
Using the fax setup wizard in the printer
Notes:
•
This wizard appears only when analog fax is not yet set up.
•
This wizard only sets up the analog fax. To setup other fax modes, go to Settings > Fax > Fax Setup.
•
Before using the wizard, make sure that the printer firmware is updated. For more information, see
"Updating firmware" on page

From the home screen, touch Fax.

Touch Set up now.

Type the fax name, and then touch Next.

Enter the fax number and then touch Done.
Using the Settings menu in the printer

From the home screen, touch Settings > Fax > Fax Setup > General Fax settings.

Configure the settings.
Using the Embedded Web Server

Open a web browser, and then type the printer IP address in the address field.
Notes:
•
View the printer IP address on the home screen. The IP address appears as four sets of numbers
separated by periods, such as 123.123.123.123.
•
If you are using a proxy server, then temporarily disable it to load the web page correctly.

Click Settings > Fax > Fax Setup > General Fax Settings.

Configure the settings.

Apply the changes.
