Helmet Attachment

D:11
D:11 Insert the lower lip of the ARC connector attachment in the
rail entry slot of the ARC. Rail and slide forward to lock into
place. Ensure the "square loop" is up.
D:12
D:12-D:14 The ARC connector should be positioned directly
above the ear to ensure correct positioning of the headset
earcup. Tactical Mode: Press the earcups toward the ear until
you hear a click. Ensure the ear fits within the cushion.
D:15
D:15 Ventilation Mode: Pull outwards on the earcups until they
click into place, allowing a space between the cushion and the
ear. In ventilation mode, avoid placing the cups against the
helmet as this can "flex" the earcup adjustment arm.

D:16
D:16-D:17 Remove dome pad from top of helmet.

NOTE: When used in high altitudes/aviation the surrounding
pressure can be reduced rapidly and affect the microphone
sensitivity, for example during helicopter ascent. If this occurs,
position the microphone closer and/or speak louder to increase
the pressure on the microphone membrane.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Changing and replacing the batteries (Fig 1)
1-2. Remove the battery compartment lids and insert the
batteries (2xAAA).
3. The battery polarity must correspond to the marking in the
battery compartment.
4. The lids must be pressed all the way down to ensure good
seal. Low battery level is indicated by a voice message "low
battery", repeatedly.
Switching the headset on and off (Fig 2)
Press and hold the [+] or [-] button for approximately 2 seconds
to switch the headset on or off. A voice guide will confirm. The
current setting is always saved when the headset is switched
off, except when in ear-plug mode.
The headset is automatically powered off after two hours of
inactivity. This is indicated by a voice message during the last
minute before the headset switches off. Press the [+] or [-]
button to reset the two hour timeout period.
Entering ear-plug mode (Fig 5, Fig 6)
Warning! Do not use the headset in ear-plug mode without
properly fitted earplugs under the earcups, as the increase
in audio volume may reach an unsafe level.
The ear-plug mode increases the volumes of ambient sound
and the external input by about 6 dB. It is intended to be used
only when properly fitted ear-plugs are used under the headset.
Fig 5: When the headset is off, press and hold the [+] button
until a voice says "power on". Keep pressing a few seconds until
a voice confirms "ear-plug mode".
Fig 6: When the headset is on, press and hold the [+] button
until a voice says "power off". Keep pressing a few seconds
until a voice confirms "ear-plug mode". It takes approximately
5 seconds to enter "ear-plug mode".
The ear-plug mode is turned off by turning the headset off and
back on again.
Adjusting volume (Fig 3)
Press [+] or [-] to adjust the volume of the ambient/
environmental listening. There are four level settings as well as
the ability to turn the ambient/environmental listening off. The
max settings are confirmed by a beep. Ambient/Environmental
listening off mode is confirmed by a voice message.
