Section 2: Optional Assembly & Set-up
Extend/Retract 3-Point Hitch Frame
Refer to Figure 2-12:
NOTE: The lower 3-point hitch arms (#1& #2) are
shipped mounted in holes "C" & "E" from the factory. 
If customer prefers, hitch arms (#1) can be extended
to move the Snow Blower away from the tractor.
Driveline (#8) will need to be shortened if hitch 
frame (#1) are not fully extended to holes "A" & "C" .
Adjust 3-point hitch frame (#2) as follows:
1.
Remove nuts (#5), lock washers (#7), and carriage
bolts (#4) from lower 3-point hitch frame (#1).
2. Remove hex flange nut (#6) and bolt (#3) from upper
center hitch arm (#2).
3. Extend or retract 3-point hitch frame (#1) as follows:
a. If customer prefers to fully extend hitch frame,
move hitch frame (#1) to holes "A", "C", & "A1". 
Driveline (#8) should not require shortening.
b. If customer prefers the unit to be mounted 3"
closer the tractor, move hitch frame (#1) to 
holes "B" , "D" , & "B1" . 
Driveline (#8) will require shortening 3".
c. If customer prefers the unit to be mounted 6"
closer to the tractor, move lower hitch frame (#1)
to holes "C" , "E" , & "C1" . 
Driveline (#8) will require shortening 6".

4. Reinsert 1/2"-13 x 2 1/2" GR5 carriage bolts (#4).
Secure bolts with spring lock washers (#7) and hex
nuts (#5). Draw hex nuts up snug, do not tighten at
this time.
5. Reinstall 5/8"-11 x 3 1/4" GR5 hex bolt (#3) in holes
"A1" , "B1" , or "C1" to match lower hitch arm
positioning.
6. Secure bolt with hex flange lock nut (#6) and tighten
to the correct torque.
7.
Tighten hex nuts (#5) to the correct torque.
