 There is only one hinge, on the left.
 The top of the hinge is connected to the base of the flatbed
scanner [1].
 The end (convex part) [3] of the support arm [2] is joined to
the guide [4]. The end moves within this guide when the
flatbed is lifted or lowered.
 The mechanism lies flat in the locked position [5].
