10. CONNECTING OVER WAN
To connect over Wide Area Network (i.e.: the global internet ), the following settings must be made in the
network server.
10.1. View Web Pages Over WAN
The Genesys™ power supply LAN interface has two servers for running the web pages. One web server
is listening in Port 80. The other, on port 8000, is an auxiliary to serve internal requests. The network
administrator must obtain and assign a Global IP for the power supply.
On the network server, the network administrator also must ensure both port 80 and 8000 are exposed
to WAN connectivity.
10.2. Use Sockets Over WAN
The network administrator must obtain and assign a Global IP for the power supply. On the network server,
the network administrator also must ensure port 8003 (for TCP sockets) or port 8005 (for UDP sockets) are
exposed to WAN connectivity.
