"Entered User Code is
not registered or you do

Cause
The correct user code is
not registered in the
TWAIN drive when
User Code
authentication is
specified on the
machine.
The User Code
registered in the TWAIN
driver is not assigned
with the privileges to use
the scanner function.
The scan condition
specified in the
application exceeds the
range that can be
specified on the
machine.
A malfunction is
occurring in the driver.
A malfunction is
temporarily occurring
on the machine.
An error is occurring in
the driver or operating
system.
There is a problem with
the network
environment.
An unrecoverable error
is occurring on the
machine.
Solution and reference
Register the User Code on [Details]
[Authenticate] tab in the TWAIN driver. For the
User Code, consult the user administrator.
Consult the user administrator. The user
administrator can change the access
permissions in the address book.

Specify the scan condition within the range
that can be specified on the machine.

• Restart the application, and perform
scanning again.
• Install the TWAIN driver again.
Turn off the power of the machine, wait for 10
seconds or more after confirming that the main
power indicator is turned off, and then turn on
the power.
