Replacing the heat sink
Attention: Do not open the computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding "Read this
first: Important safety information" on page v in this document.
CAUTION:
The heat sink might be very hot. Turn off the computer and wait three to five minutes to let
the computer cool before removing the computer cover.
1. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 27.
2. Remove the storage drive. See "Replacing the storage drive" on page 28.
3. Remove the internal speaker. See "Replacing the internal speaker" on page 30.
4. Remove the system fan. See "Replacing the system fan" on page 31.
5. Replace the heat sink.
