MEANING
Paper has jammed in the paper
feeding area.
Paper has jammed in the fuser area.
Paper has jammed in the paper exit
area.
The toner cartridge has run out. The
machine stops.
The toner is almost empty.
The machine is waiting for the
programmed interval to automatically
redial.
A problem with the fax
communications has occurred.
A Group location has been selected
where only a single location number
can be used, such as when adding
locations for a multi-dial operation.
The machine cannot connect with the
remote machine, or has lost contact
because of a problem on the phone
line.
The memory has become full.
The remote machine was not
answered after all the redial attempts.
SOLUTION
Clear the jam. Refer to "Paper Jams"
on page 11-5.

Replace with a new toner cartridge.
Refer to "Toner Cartridge" on page 10-

Take out the toner cartridge and gently
shake it. By doing this printing
operations can be temporarily
resumed.
Press [Start] to immediately redial, or
[Stop] to cancel the redial operation.
Try resending the fax.
Try again, check the location for a
Group.

persists, wait an hour or more for the
line to clear then try again.
Either delete unnecessary documents,
or retransmit after more memory
becomes available. The transmission
can also be split into more than one
operation if it is a large job.

remote machine is functioning
correctly.
