Description
The HP 8720DU Option 000 Performance Upgrade Kit is used to replace the A7 CPU board in
the analyzer with a new board designed with a faster microprocessor and enhanced firmware.
Faster measurement speeds, data transfers, and instrument state recalls are made possible
with this upgrade. Loading new firmware revisions can now be accomplished with a 3.5 inch
floppy disk rather than by replacing EEPROMs. This note contains the information required to
upgrade the A7 CPU board in the HP 8719DU/8720DU/8722DU
