16 Switching On and Off

To insert the connecting cord:
► Line up the arrow on the connecting cord plug (2) with the
arrow on the socket (1).
► Push the plug straight into the socket with steady, even
pressure until it is fully inserted.

15.2 Removing the Connecting Cord

WARNING
To reduce the risk of severe personal injury from unintended
activation, always remove the connecting cord before
assembling, transporting, adjusting, cleaning, servicing,
maintaining or storing the power tool. Remove the
connecting cord in the event of malfunction or emergency
and any time the power tool is not in use.
WARNING
To reduce the risks of electric shock and other personal
injuries from the loss of control, always switch off the power
tool before removing the connecting cord from the socket.
To remove the connecting cord:
► Release trigger switch.
► Pull the plug straight out of the power tool socket with
steady, even pressure.

prolonged periods of direct sunlight. Use or storage outside
the recommended ambient temperature range can reduce
the performance and/or service life of the battery.
16 Switching On and Off

16.1 Switching On

WARNING
To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injuries to the operator
or bystanders, keep hands, feet and other parts of the body
away from the KombiTool and its cutting/working
attachment, @ 7.5.2. Do not touch the KombiTool or
cutting/working attachment while the battery connecting
cord is inserted. Never touch the moving KombiTool or
cutting/working attachment with your hand or any part of
your body, @ 7.5.4.
WARNING
Never operate your power tool if it is damaged, improperly
adjusted or maintained, not completely and securely
assembled or not functioning properly, @ 7.4. To reduce
the risk of personal injury, always wear proper clothing and
protective apparel, including proper eye protection, @ 7.3.
To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury from loss of
control, always hold the power tool with both hands when
you are working, @ 7.5.2.
Before switching on:
► Make sure you have a secure and firm footing.
► Stand upright.
► Always hold and operate the power tool with two hands,
right hand firmly on the rear handle and the left hand firmly
on the loop handle. This is true even for left-handed
operators.
