Installing the Conveyant Sentry application

Before you begin
• A standard Windows server with one of the following operating systems: Windows Server
2008 R2, Windows 7 Professional.
• .NET Framework 4.
About this task
Use the following procedure to install the Conveyant Sentry application on a Windows
server.
Procedure
1. Run the installer file "Sentry8100ScoutSetup.msi."
2. Click Next.

Location (ERL) string in the sector field of the Campus/Building/Floor/Sector
location data for the AP. The format for the sector field must be "ERL" + number,
when used to designate an ERL on the CS1K.

Important:
The Communication Server 1000 (CS1K) has an 18 character limit on associated
location data. When propagating the full CBFS data to the CS1K, it uses the
sector field to match ERL data, but also populates the Campus/Building/Floor
(CBF) data separately. If the CBF data exceeds 18 characters, Sentry truncates
the trailing characters to fit the location field in the CS1K. This does not impact
the Sector or ERL data which is used to identify the correct ERL when an
emergency call is placed.
