INTRODUCTION
United States Stove Company retained OMNI to provide EPA certification services on the 7700
wood furnace. Testing was performed by Intertek Testing Services North America Inc (ITS), an
EPA accredited laboratory. Upon completion of testing, ITS submitted a report and all relevant
data to OMNI for review. This report serves as acceptance of the test report in meeting all the
technical testing and reporting requirements. A copy of the ITS Report can be found in
Appendix 1 of this report.
The testing was performed at Services Polytests testing facility in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu,
Quebec, Canada. The altitude of the laboratory is 68 feet above sea level. ITS representative
th
Danick Power conducted the certification testing and completed all testing by October 9
, 2014.
The 7700 wood furnace was tested in accordance with the CSA B415.10, Performance Testing of
Solid-Fuel-Burning Heating Appliances. No other methods were used and no deviations were
made from the method. Test results indicate a weighted average emissions rate of 0.358
lb/mmBTU output.
As 40 CFR Part 60 subpart QQQQ states that "forced air furnances independantly certified under
CSA B415.10 ... that show compliance with the Step 1 emission limits will be deemed EPA
certified", the 7700 meets the Step 1 requirement of 0.93 lb/mmBTU for forced-air furnaces
manufactured on or after May 15, 2015.
This report is organized in accordance with the EPA-recommended outline and is summarized in
the Table of Contents immediately preceding this report. The results in this report are limited to
