COLD AIR PLENUM
Always consult a professional before attempting
the installation. The furnace should be positioned
in its desired location with the Blower Assembly
/ Filter Box installed and the starting section of
the Chimney Connector ready to attached as
prescribed in this manual. This section should be
long enough to extend through and beyond the
Cold Air Plenum Tube to allow enough space to
attach additional sections (i.e. elbow). Refer to
the Chimney installation section of this manual
to ensure that it is properly secured and sealed to
the furnace. Once chimney connector is installed,
proceed by installing the Cold Air Plenum Box(1)
onto the Filter Box with the round hole towards
the furnace. The Cold Air Plenum (1) should slip
down inside the Filter Box with the offset pieces
capturing the top edges of the Filter Box. Then
you will insert the Flue Isolator (2). Notice that
one end is smaller than the other. Insert the Flue
Isolator (2), small end towards furnace, over the
flue pipe and through the Cold Air Plenum Box
(2). Attach to the front side with seven (7) of the
provided #10 self-drilling screws. Then use the
remaining eight (8) screws to attach the opposite
end of the Flue Isolator. Seal all joints and seams
with HVAC tape and/or silicone. Complete your
installation by connecting to your home return
duct work.
