Refrigerant Oil

Observe the following precautions when working with or around refrigerant
oil:
P P e e r r s s o o n n a a l l P P r r o o t t e e c c t t i i v v e e E E q q u u i i p p m m e e n n t t ( ( P P P P E E ) ) R R e e q q u u i i r r e e d d ! !
Protect your eyes from contact with refrigerant oil. The oil can cause serious
eye injuries. Protect skin and clothing from prolonged or repeated contact
with refrigerant oil. To prevent irritation, wash your hands and clothing
thoroughly after handling the oil. Rubber gloves are recommended.
I I m m p p o o r r t t a a n n t t : : Please note that it is recommended to evacuate all passengers if
a refrigerant leak is suspected. Please use your own specific
company evacuation procedure.

First Aid

R R E E F F R R I I G G E E R R A A N N T T
E E y y e e s s : : For contact with liquid, immediately flush eyes with large amounts
of water and get prompt medical attention.
S S k k i i n n : : Flush area with large amounts of warm water. Do not apply heat.
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wrap burns with dry, sterile,
bulky dressing to protect from infection. Get prompt medical attention.
Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
I I n n h h a a l l a a t t i i o o n n : : Move victim to fresh air and use Cardio Pulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) or mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to restore
breathing, if necessary. Stay with victim until emergency personnel
arrive.
F F r r o o s s t t B B i i t t e e : : In the event of frost bite , the objectives of First Aid are to
protect the frozen area from further injury, warm the affected area
rapidly, and to maintain respiration.
