•
The handset may be out of range. Move t closer to the telephone base.
•
Make sure the power cord s securely plugged nto the telephone base. Use a workng electrcal
outlet that s not controlled by a wall swtch.
•
Reset your telephone by unpluggng the power adapter from the telephone base. Dsconnect
the battery from the cordless handset. Wat for 15 seconds, then plug n the power adapter
and re-nstall the battery. Place the handset n the telephone base and allow up to one mnute
for the handset and telephone base to synchronze.
•
Other electronc products may prevent your handset and telephone base from communcatng
wth each other. Try nstallng your telephone base as far away from these electronc devces as
possble: wreless routers, rados, rado towers, pager towers, cellular telephones, ntercoms, room
montors, televsons, personal computers, ktchen applances and other cordless telephones.
•
Make sure the answerng system s on. When the answerng system s on, the red lght on the
ANS ON/OFF key should be lt.
•
If Toll Saver s actvated, the number of rngs changes to two when there are new messages
watng (page 39).
•
If the memory s full or f the answerng system s off, the system wll answer after 10 rngs.
•
In some cases, the answerng system wll be affected by the rngng system used by the local
telephone company.
•
When recordng the announcement, make sure you speak n a normal tone of voce about nne
nches from the telephone base.
•
Make sure there is no background noise (television, music, traffic, etc.) when recording.
