    Battery charging Once you have installed the battery, the screen indicates the battery status (see the table below). For best performance, keep the handset in the telephone base or charger when not in use. The battery is fully charged after 6 hours of continuous charging.

    The following are some of the telephone features you may wish to set. Refer to Telephone settings in the online user’s manual for detailed instructions on setting all telephone features. Ringer volume You can adjust the ringer volume level, or turn the ringer off. Press MENU when the handset is not in use.

    Redial The telephone stores the five most recently dialed numbers. When there are already five entries, the oldest entry is deleted to make room for the new entry. To review and dial a number from the redial list: REDIAL Press when the handset is not in use.

    Access the answering system remotely Dial your telephone number from any touch-tone telephone. When the system plays your announcement, enter the two-digit remote code. The preset code is 19. Then you can enter one of the following remote commands. Command Function Play all messages.
