2. Pivot the pulley mounting bracket away from the
nozzle until the desired belt tension attained.
3. Tighten the mounting bolts.

Inspecting the Tires

Service Interval: Every 100 hours
Operating accidents can damage a tire or rim, so inspect tire
condition after an accident.
Check the tire pressure frequently to ensure proper inflation.
If the tires are not inflated to the correct pressure, the tires
will wear prematurely.
Always replace worn or damaged tires with DOT approved
tires. See Figure 35 for the location of the tire identification
numbers.

Electrical Maintenance

Important: Before welding on the machine, disconnect
the controller and the negative cable from the battery to
prevent damage to the electrical system.
Charging the Battery
DANGER
Battery electrolyte contains sulfuric acid which is a
deadly poison and causes severe burns.
• Do not drink electrolyte and avoid contact with
skin, eyes or clothing. Wear safety glasses to
shield your eyes and rubber gloves to protect
your hands.
• Fill the battery where clean water is always
available for flushing the skin.

Battery posts, terminals, and related
accessories contain lead and lead compounds,
chemicals known to the State of California
to cause cancer and reproductive harm.
Wash hands after handling.
1. Remove the clips securing the battery cover to the
battery box and remove the cover from the box (Figure
38).
