SPECIAL EFFECTS PLAYBACK / ADJUSTMENT DURING PLAYBACK
STILL PICTURE
When you press the PAUSE/STILL button during playback mode, the picture freezes. With each additional press of the button, the
picture moves forward one frame. To release from the PAUSE/STILL mode, press the PLAY or STOP button.
TRACKING ADJUSTMENT
If noise appears in the picture during playback or slow playback, adjust the TRACKING buttons to achieve the best picture.
When pressing the TRACKING (+) and (-) buttons at the same time during playback, reverse playback, forward, or slow playback,
the tracking returns to the initial setting.
NOTE:

When in reverse playback, noise bars may appear on the screen.

Noise bars may move through the picture each time the TRACKING button is pressed.
VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT
When watching still playback, the picture may vibrate. A vertical adjustment of the picture will reduce the vibration at the top and bottom.
Press the TRACKING (-) or (+) buttons to reduce or eliminate the picture vibration.
NOTE:

Horizontal vibration cannot be eliminated with the TRACKING (+) or (-) buttons.

Each time a tape is loaded the VCR returns to the initial setting, but vertical vibration is not returned to the initial condition.
