8-2. Steps to take in an emergency
Have the malfunction repaired immediately.
After taking the specified steps to correct the suspected problem,
check that the warning message and light go off.

Details
The electronic key
is not detected
when attempting
to start the EV
system.
The electronic key
has been carried
outside the
vehicle and a
door other than
the driver's door
was opened and
closed while the
power switch is in
ACCESSORY or
ON mode.
The driver's door
has been opened
and closed while
the electronic key
was not in the
vehicle, the shift
lever was in P and
the power switch
is in
ACCESSORY or
ON mode.
Correction
procedure
Start the
EV system
with the
electronic
key
present.
Bring the
electronic
key back
into the
vehicle.
Turn the
power
switch off
or bring the
electronic
key back
into the
vehicle.
