Precautions and restriction
regarding the use of reflective
sheeting
Colored media
When printing on colored media, the printer may not be able to automatically identify the media width depending
on the color, and a media mismatch error may occur.
Media not supporting automatic media identification
The automatic media identification function uses the edge sensors to identify the media and determine if reflective
sheeting is used before printing. However, the media cannot be identified automatically in the following case. In
such a case, solve the problem, or press any button after the media mismatch error has occurred to print without
using the function. Although a warning message is displayed and a warning beep is emitted, printing can be
performed. See
- The media cannot be properly detected by the edge sensors
(The automatic media identification function may not be supported even when common reflective sheeting is
used.)
Example:
- Media with an uneven surface
- Media whose surface is soiled with dust, ink, fingerprints, etc.
- Printed media
Supported media width
The following media widths are supported.
48 inches (1,219 mm)
36 inches (914 mm)
Adjustment
When printing on reflective sheeting, the automatic bidirectional print position adjustment function cannot set
adjustment values properly. Manual bidirectional print position adjustment should be performed..
