ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE

1. Test Equipments Required

The following Test Equipments are required for adjust-
ment of the Video Multiplexer WJ-FS616.

Underscanned Colour Video Monitor
8
Video Monitor
8
Vectorscope
8
Waveform Monitor
8
Video Signal Generator
Colour Bar Signal (Set up 7.5%)
Ramp Signal (without Carrier)
Sweep Signal or Multi Burst Signal (more than 10MHz)

Oscilloscope
8
Frequency Counter
8
Digital Voltmeter
8
Black and White Video Camera
2. Disassembling Procedure for the
Adjustment

Referring to Fig. 2-1, remove five screws that secure the
Upper Cover and remove the Upper Cover.

Referring to Fig. 2-2, remove six screws that secure the
Switch Board Ass'y and lift up the Switch Board Ass'y.
Remove six screws.
Remove five screws.

3. Connection and Setting up for
Adjustment
3.1. Connection

Fig. 3-1 shows the connecting diagram for adjustment of
the WJ-FS616.

Connect the Underscanned Colour Video Monitor through
the Vectorscope and Waveform Monitor to the Recording
Output Connector on the Rear Panel of the WJ-FS616.

Terminate the input terminal of the Underscanned Colour
Video Monitor with 75 Ω.
8
Connect the Video Monitor to the Spot Output Connector
on the Rear Panel of the WJ-FS616.
8
Connect the Signal Generator to the Camera Input
Connector 1 on the Rear Panel of the WJ-FS616.
8
Connect the prove of the Digital Voltmeter, Oscilloscope
or Frequency Counter at the desired Test Point in each
adjustment step.
3.2. Setting Up

This adjustment should be done after 30 minutes warm up
of the WJ-FS616.
<Initial Setting>
8
Before start to adjust should be done with this Initial
Setting as follows:
8
Turn the Power Switch off.
8
Turn the Lock Switch (SW127) on the Pocket Board to Off
position.
8
Set the Data Termination Switch (SW401) on the Modular
Board to On position.
8
Set the RS485 Termination Switch (SW602) on the
Communication Board to On position.
8
Set the Line Select Switch (SW601) on the
Communication Board to "4" position.
